Assistant Scientist in biotech Required Degrees: Bachelors Degree

Basic Qualifications: BS degree (or equivalent) in biological sciences
preferably with one to two years experience in a pre-clinical
laboratory environment.

Theoretical and practical scientific knowledge typical of a Bachelor
of Science degree and/or combination of education and experience in
the area of biological sciences (Assistant Scientist)

Preferred Qualifications:

Animal handling experience with rabbits, rats and mice. Positive
interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as
a member of a team. Experience with computer software. Grade level
will be determined based upon experience and scientific skills.

Details: The successful candidate will work as part of team conducting
studies to evaluate the potential for novel drugs to affect
reproduction and embryo-fetal development as part of non-clinical
safety assessment. The main requirements are to perform laboratory
procedures, make experimental measurements and keep accurate record of
experiment data using computers. The work also involves the setting-
up, operation, maintenance of laboratory equipment and working with
lab animals
