Research Associate in biotech

Education and/or Special Training EDUCATION: # Bachelor's Degree in a
science-based discipline. # Master's Degree biomedical engineering or
other relevant scientific discipline. Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION:
# Manage and maintain both clinical and biomechanical studies on
current and new products where the data is held externally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: # Initiate outsourced clinical
and biomechanical studies for new products. # Initiate and negotiate
legal contracts with institutions for the outsourcing of the
aforementioned studies. # Evaluate submitted protocols for clinically
relevant study design as well as power analyses for statistical
significance. # Work with clinicians, on-site research assistants, and
the Research and Development, Clinical, and Regulatory groups to
generate protocols that are user friendly and will provide necessary
information for publications, presentations and technical monographs.
# Coordinate on-site auditing to ensure compliance with protocols. #
Manage ongoing outsourced clinical and biomechanical studies on
existing implants. # Work with product teams to develop studies that
support current products and to investigate new products. # Work with
Manager of Finance to ensure that the researchers are reimbursed in
compliance with the research contracts. # Develop and maintain a
matrix of all outsourced studies, including major milestones,
objectives and finances. # Provide education and training to sales
force on research, as appropriate. Qualifications/Work Experience
QUALIFICATIONS: # Demonstrated efficiency in relevant Microsoft Office
Suite applications. # Demonstrated ability to generate and review
abstracts and manuscripts suitable for submission to third party
conferences and peer reviewed journals. # Ability to travel both
domestically and internationally 25-40% of the time.
