Senior Scientist in biotech

In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to:

* As a member of the Process Development Department, you will be
responsible for formulation process and analytical method development
for proteins expressed in E. coli or other microorganisms. * Lead
efforts in pre-formulation and formulation development, analytical
method development, qualification and/or validation, and establish
programs for both drug substance and drug product stability studies. *
Build an industry-leading formulation technology platform,
establishing Adnexus core competency in drug formulation and analysis,
and serving as the primary contact with our technical/manufacturing
partners.

You will also be able to broaden your technical expertise by:

* Develop state-of-the-art analytical tools, implement QC and
validation plans, and execute CMC strategies for commercial success. *
Contribute to publications (e.g. technical reports, INDs BLAs, or
scientific papers), leading group and project meetings, and presenting
at seminars as necessary.

Requirements of the position:

* Ph.D or M.S. in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical
Science or equivalent and at least 10 years relevant industry
experience in related protein chemistry fields. Knowledge / experience
with protein expression, purification and/or molecular biology is also
desirable. A minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience is
preferred. * Must have experience in protein formulation and
analytical method development, and extensive knowledge of proteins
expressed by microbial fermentation or mammalian cell culture Ability
to work with colleagues in Process Development and potential external
partners is also essential. * Be able to manage multiple projects
simultaneously, coordinate technical activities, and prioritize work
loads within a small work group independently. * Excellent
organizational, analytical and technical skills are required along
with demonstrated initiative and innovative thinking within a team
environment. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills along
with a sense of urgency and ability to work under tight deadlines.
